Our volunteer peer mentors for CWC play an crucial role in our participants’ learning experience. Not only do they provide a model for employment and skill building for our youth with ASD in workplace settings, but they also support and encourage participants to express themselves, communicate their needs and gain confidence. Peer mentors for CWC support teens with ASD at a 1:1 ratio to help them achieve their individual goals. It is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life and make new friends!

Our ideal peer mentor is:

  • A high school, CÉGEP, or university student
  • Aged 15-21
  • Open to receiving training in ASD and to raise awareness
  • Available after-school once weekly for 2.5 hours for 10 to 12 weeks
  • Open-minded, positive and punctual.

Registration to become a peer mentor for our CWC programs in Montreal is now closed.
