Our volunteer peer mentors play an integral role in our participants’ learning experience. Not only will they be closely involved with delivering the contents of the structured learning sessions, but they will also encourage participants with ASD to communicate their needs and to gain confidence, and be involved in practical learning simulation. It is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen team leadership abilities and to make a difference in someone’s life!

Our ideal peer mentor is:

  • A young adult no longer attending school, and searching for employment
  • Aged 15-29
  • Open to receiving training in ASD and to raise awareness
  • Available day time once weekly for 2.5 hours for 12 weeks
  • Dynamic and willing to participate in team building exercises in a classroom setting
